Asia’s Prince” Jang Keun Suk, who’s turning 27 on August 4, will be celebrating his special day in a rather different way.

On August 2-3, a special two-day event which includes various attractions and activities such as a photo exhibit, a live open broadcast of Jang Keun Suk’s podcast, and a donation drive will be held at the Art Hall in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul to celebrate the upcoming birthday of the actor on August 4. This event will be the first time in six months that Jang keun Suk will be meeting his fans officially after his fan meeting last February.

While most fans usually send their love and greetings for the birthday of their favortie artists through billboards and advertisements, Jang Keun Suk’s fanclub, Cri-J, thought of putting up a photo exhibit like the previously held “2013 Jang keun Suk Birthday Photo Exhibit,” wherein photos of the actor that were personally taken by his fans will be exhibited, highlighting the love of the fans for the actor. The total profits from the photo exhibit last year that amounted to 10 million won were donated to charitable institutions and this year, Jang Keun Suk’s fans are expected to show once again that they are a model for the matured fans who have a culture of giving.

Jang Keun Suk himself will also hold a special open broadcast of his podcast, “Zikzin Radio,” and will take advantage of the chance to get closer to his fans. Zikzin Radio started in October last year and has ranked number one in the Arts Category of the Japan podcast chart.

This will be the second open broadcast of the show following the first open broadcast held in Beijing, China. Through Zikzin Radio, Jang Keun Suk will be able to hold ordinary, normal talks with his fans and have an animated conversation with them. Fans are highly anticipating this personal talk time with Jang Keun Suk which is expected to expand broadcast all throughout Asia soon.

“Jang Keun Suk is always very thankful whenever fans prepare a lot for his birthday every year. Also, it has been a while since he last stood in front of his fans after the previous fan meeting so as expected, his fans’ anticipation has risen and we are continuously fired up when it comes to the preparations,” said a representative from Jang Keun Suk’s agency.

Jang Keun Suk was full enough to get the ‘world prince’-like spotlight at his birthday event which was consisted of time to exchange with fans about various spectacles such as ‘2014 Jang Keun Suk Birthday Celebration Sharing Photo Exhibition’ and Jang Keun Suk’s ZIKZIN Radio open broadcast.

The photo exhibition was consisted of vivid pictures and video zones of Jang Keun Suk. Fans’ infinite affection could be felt from the fan art zone since there were many heartfelt gifts from overseas fans. Also this photo exhibition attracted eyes by making special space for fans that visited to take sticker photos in order to give fun.

Especially, Jang Keun Suk conveyed this delightful and thankful mind toward the photo exhibition which fans prepared by looking around the exhibition without missing any pictures and autographing on his pictures. He also spent joyful time by writing on the guest book and taking sticker photos.

Jang Keun Suk holds an overnight event with fans

Jang Geun Suk met with 1,500 Japanese fans in an overnight fan meeting titled ‘Lotte Duty Free Jang Geun Suk in Star Avenue’ at the High1 Convention Hotel in Gangwondo on April 21-22.

The event was organized to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Lotte Duty Free’s Korean wave marketing and it was comprised of a mini-concert, a talk session and a quiz show. Different from usual fan meeting, the event ran for one night and two days.

During dinner, Jang Geun Suk made sure to greet every table occupied by fans, welcoming them to the event. He also sang his heart out to a total of four songs during the mini concert.

Meanwhile, Jang Geun Suk will be releasing his second studio album in Japan on April 29.

Jang Keun Suk to Hold Dinner Shows in Korea and Japan

Jang Keun Suk is looking to entertain fans over dinner through his own dinner show series in both Korea and Japan.

The hallyu star promised fans last year that he would host dinner shows to commemorate the 20th anniversary of his debut this year and has kept his word.

Jang Keun Suk’s first dinner show will be held at Seoul’s Lotte Hotel in Jamsil on December 9 followed by a show in Busan’s Grand Hotel on December 15. A mother later, from January 20 through the 21, Jang Keun Suk will move on to Osaka and then Tokyo from January 23 to 24.

Some 500 fans from Seoul and 400 fans from Busan are expected for the two shows in Korea, and his agency added all tickets were sold on the first day of sales.

[Just Crazy]Jang Keun suk album Korean version release in Korean

Jang Keun Suk has released his first-full length Japanese album in Korea.

Just Crazy was first released in Japan in May where it placed first on both the daily and weekly Oricon album charts.

The Korean version was produced by Kim Jong Cheon and Seo Hyun Il who previously worked on the OSTs of such dramas as Mary Stayed Out All Night.

In addition to the rock title song Crazy Crazy Crazy, the album contains a diverse range of genre from rock to pop to ballad including Let Me Cry and Bye Bye Bye.

SNSD fans will be especially interested in the track, In My Dreams as it was written and composed by Jang Keun Suk himself, and was inspired by SNSD’s Yoona, who he worked with on the drama Love Rain.

The album will be available in full on November 28.

Korean actor Jang Keun Suk has been appointed to the new CM character for "prepaid travel Korea Sumitomo Mitsui Card". Preceded by a public official site of Sumitomo Mitsui Card, CM will be aired from November 22. The shooting took place in South Korea in mid-May, Hidetoshi Nakata of Japan national football former visit to encourage JKS.

JKS SAID IN PRESSCON:
