More than 10 months have passed since Jang Keun Suk last worked in Korea, but according to a report in the media outlet Korea Times, the singer-actor is preparing his comeback.

Anonymous sources quoted by the news outlet said that Jang is currently choosing from a selection of films and dramas to work on in the coming year.

Jang has not worked in Korea since January due to negative publicity surrounding a tax investigation into his finances. In September 2014 when he was questioned by the National Tax Service for underreporting income earned in China.

As a result of the investigation the 28-year-old actor paid about $10 million in fines to the Seoul District National Tax Service. The chairman of Jang Geun Suk's agency Tree J Entertainment also paid a fine and the NTS investigated several other celebrities using this company to secure work in other countries. The investigation did not result in further legal action.

A short film directed by hallyu star Jang Geun-suk (“Pretty Man”) topped the weekly film section of the Oricon Chart, Japan’s biggest music and entertainment ranking list, said PR agency Y Tree Media on March 25.

Titled “CAMP,” the 38-minute movie captures events that occur during Jang’s attempts to film wild animals in the Jejudo Island mountains as a documentary director.

The actor-singer participated in the planning and directing stages in collaboration with director Yoon Hong-seung (“The Target”), the PR agency said.

Jang is currently touring Japan for a concert series titled “The Chrishow 3.” His upcoming show will be on in Fukuoka from March 26-27.

Jang Keun Suk meets Moon Mason for the first time in five years

Jang Keun Suk met child actor Moon Mason for the first time in five years after they met in the film Baby and I.

On August 26, Moon uploaded a few pictures of himself with Jang on his personal website with the comment, “Mason & Keun Suk, the son meets his father for the first time in five years. Jang Keun Suk with The Moon Brothers. We ate delicious food at S Plus in Haeundae and had a nice party with Keun Suk!!!! We were so excited to see him!!! Jang Keun Suk loves his son so much.”

Jang and Moon met each other for the first time in five years after they worked together for the film Baby and I in 2008. Jang was having dinner with his friends after finishing an autograph event in Busan, and Moon was on a trip to Busan with his family. At S+ in Haeundae, they met by chance.

A spokesperson for S+ reported that Jang was on the sixth floor and Moon was on the fifth floor at first. Jang got to know that he and Moon were in the same building and came to see the Mason family. They spent some time together, having dinner and chatting.

According to reports, Jang expressed his affection for Moon, saying, “My son has grown up a lot!”

Jang Keun Suk unveiled his text to his “Baby & I” co-star Mason Moon (aka baby Nichkhun).
The upcoming episode of “Made in” segment of TV Chosun’s “Celeb in TV – the TREND” will feature hallyu star Jang Keun Suk.

Producers managed to catch up with former co-stars, CF directors, colleagues, and others to investigate every little secret of the star. One of the sources also revealed a text message between Jang Geun Suk and his “son” Mason Moon from the movie “Baby & I.”

In the messages, Jang Keun Suk wrote, “It’s me, Jang Keun Suk. How are you??? kkk Mason, do you recognize me now??” and attached a photo of himself. The “Prince of Asia” humored his fans with his desire to be recognized by none other than his “son.”

TV Chosun “Celeb in TV the TREND” will air its next episode, featuring Jang Geun Suk, this Saturday, June 23, at 11AM KST.

On the eighteenth episode of the KBS 2TV drama "Love Rain" aired on the 17th, Jung Ha-na became Seo Joon's advertisement model as she promised.

Jeong Ha-na tried this out for the first time in her life. The stylist breathed out a sigh as she said, "You really can't live up the style". Seo Joon stopped the whole process after a while.

Joon hallucinated about Ha-na after the photo shoot. He then told her he liked her later on.
