‘Love Rain’ to be Exported to Over 12 Countries and Regions Globally

It seems like everyone wants a piece of Jang Keun Suk and Yoona on KBS’ Love Rain.

It was revealed the broadcasting rights to Jang Keun Suk and Yoona’s Love Rain has been sold to twelve different countries and regions including China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Cambodia, the Americas and Europe. Love Rain previously made headlines in Japan after the broadcasting right for the drama was sold even before the drama began airing in Korea. 

Even among the Korean contents available at the content market, MIPTV, which took plast in April in France’s Cannes, Love Rain was the most sought after Korean content.

Regarding its popularity, the drama’s production said, “Following the new that the [broadcasting rights] have been sold in Asia, the Americas and Europe, the actors and the staff are feeling a greater sense of responsibility and working even harder. Please continue to give us your support.”

In the 12th episode of Love Rain that aired on March 1, Joon and Ha Na, who previously broke up, meets up again. What’s more, Joon had Ha Na a ride on his back, and that generated high anticipations about their reunion.

Actress Yoona started something pitiful to turn around the heart of Jang Geun-seok.

On the twelfth episode of the KBS 2TV drama "Love Rain" showed Ha-na (Yoona) suggesting a beach shoot to Joon (Jang Geun-seok).

Joon said no, but Ha-na decided she will pose for Joon to find out his truth. However, Ha-na held back tears as she modeled for the cold-turned Joon.

She kept on talking to him to get his attention but he didn't reply back and although she tried catching his eye with a fluttery yellow dress, Joon didn't move an inch.

Exhausted, Ha-na had difficulty posing for the camera and in the end got scolded by Joon.After the shoot, Ha-na asked Joon to stay with her but he made the car leave.At the same time, their parents were getting off the bus at the same location they were at and the story ended there.

Jang Keun Suk leaves SNSD’s Yoona on Love Rain

Jang Keun Suk unwillingly left SNSD’s Yoona on Love Rain.

In the episode of KBS 2TV’s drama series Love Rain that aired on May 1, Jun (played by Jang Keun Suk) said good-bye to Hana (played by Yoona), hiding the fact that In Ha was his father, as he found out that she sincerely wanted her mother Yoon Hee (played by Lee Mi Sook) to be happy with In Ha (played by Jung Jin Young).

However, Hana didn’t know that it was Jun’s decision for her and everyone else, and she endlessly cried. Jun hurt Hana by saying harsh words but he also had a hard time because of what he said to her.

In the episode, Jun came to Hana drunk and gave her a hug. He looked at her with affectionate eyes but said, “I don’t feel anything.”

As Hana asked, “You really don’t feel anything? For real?” in tears, Jun said, “Don’t bug me and don’t make me be mean to you. Let’s finish here.”Leaving Hana alone, Jun got in his car. However, he soon came back to her and increased the viewers’ curiosity.

Interview with PD Yoon Suk Ho, Love Rain DVD –director cut (the 70s part)

 PD Yoon, the director of Love Rain revealed that there will be a director cut DVD coming out.

April 27th, at Sangsu-dong, Mapo-gu Seoul, KBS2 drama Love Rain did on site open filming. PD Yoon Suk Ho expressed that he had special feeling (nostalgia) towards 70’s part of the drama. He also said even the shooting of that part was slow, but he had put lots of emotions in it. So he would like to edit this part again and make DVD out of it.

“Love Rain” is a drama that combines 70’s analog era pure love and 2012 digital era modern fashion love (passion and romantic). The story goes over generations and crossed the time lines to narrative the nature of love.

PD Yoon said the 70’s love is more concentrate on “slow aesthetics”. He also said that he planned to make 10 episodes of 70’s part and would run through the young generation love story and middle age love story together. At the beginning, he planned to make 70’s part for 10 episodes, but at the end, they only edited 4 episodes of it. They shot lots of very beautiful scenes (means the parts that didn’t show in the 70’s part as drama aired), so he will make a DVD out of it.

Since September to December last year, he used 4 months to shoot 70’s love part in Keimyung University, Daegu. He said he has put lots of energy to shoot 70’s love story part that really showed 70’s romance – “the fond of memories is hard to let it go”. He also said: “The pace was slow, but that was how it was and I didn’t want to change it but keep it as it was. Compare to just follow the modern steps I would rather to put all my efforts to make something that I want.” He said: “In Japan, for some important friends I gave out “Winter Sonata” DVD as gift. That means to treasure all the feelings, music and scenes in the work. This time I will do the same thing to Love Rain. This drama will not be just an electrical wave pass through, but more like a prepared gift for someone you like. Then he/she will remember this works for a very long time.”

Jang Keun Suk involved in car accident on his way to ‘Love Rain’ filming site .

Asia Prince Jang Keun Suk was involved in an automobile accident early morning yesterday. Jang Keun Suk and his two managers were in the car and reportedly his manager was driving. 

After the accident, Jang Keun Suk left for a quick check-up in the hospital, following which he returned immediately to the drama Love Rain filming venue. 

Jang was returning to Seoul for Love Rain shooting and while the accident took place, he was in the backseat of the car.

The car was said to have hit guard rails, which are placed on top of a cliff. Fortunately, actor Jang was not seriously injured, sustaining only some bruises and pain. 

Tree J had asked Eels all over the world to not worry and asked them to check the official site for more updates. Today, Actor Jang himself tweeted pictures of the accident and fans were relieved that Jang was fine. 

He tweeted selcas and some pictures of his shooting to say that he has returned to filming venue. Here are pictures of the accident tweeted by Jang Keun Suk:

“Love Rain” OST Amasses Over 20,000 Pre-order Sales

On April 24, the OST for Love Rain is scheduled to be released. The album will contain twelve tracks including Jang Keun Suk’s Love Rain, Tiffany’s Because It’s You and more. Already proving to be a major successful soundtrack, it was revealed pre-order sales for the album had already surpassed 20,000 copies.
A production member of the OST said, “One will be able to experience the deep emotions of Love Rain like the fresh and lush feelings of spring in the high quality sound track.”
