Jang Keun Suk becomes the first domestic university ‘Sharing Professor’, giving a special speech. On 20th afternoon, appointment ceremony was held at his alma mater, Intercontinental hotel in Samsung-Dong, Seoul.

Jang has been continuously involved in performing good deeds and encouraging donation culture. He raised his name in the hall of honours for his development funds. He showed his affection towards his alma mater, even ‘Jang Keun Suk Scholarship’ was founded.
Previously, when graduating, he donated 1.2 million won. Hanyang University appointed Jang Keun Suk as ‘Share Professor’ to appreciate his great contribution.
     This semester, Jang Keun Suk will commence his special lecture, ‘Philanthropy’ which will be allocated as one of elective units. He will be passing his experience of sharing and volunteering to students. To spread such ‘share culture’, appointment of share professor never happened before, which differentiated Hanyang University among a number of universities in S.Korea.
Someone with JKS said, “As great of an opportunity it is to be with students, he is diligently preparing for his lecture to be able to relate with his students.”
Along with JKS former CEO of Samsung, Director of One Heart hospital, etc. 6 total VIP people were appointed to give lectures.

Jang Keun Suk Japan Official Fan Club started 5 years ago. To celebrate the 5th anniversary, JKS held his first official fan meeting ‘Jang Keun Suk VALENTINE FANCLUB EVENT’ in Japan.

For 2 days, February 13th and 14th, he spent a heart-warming time with fans in Tokyo full of St. Valentine’s Day atmosphere.

Jang Keun Suk reached an important milestone, 5th anniversary for his Japan Official Fan Club. He’s held a lot of concerts or events in Japan so far, but surprisingly, it was his first official fan meeting in Japan. The venue, Tokyo International Forum Hall A was full of fans who had waited for the day to come. As the event title ‘GIFT’ shows, the fan meeting became a memorable event given from him to fans who keep supporting him for a long time.

In this event, 7 missions related to initials of ‘JKS GIFT’ were given to him and he had to complete them such as question time using a polygraph test, check for his personal items, impromptu dancing seeing his past videos, and live response to requests given by fans like “show us your bossy style of love confession at the camera!” “Show us your best smile!” and so on. Like this, this exclusive event was totally different from his concerts.

He even walked down from the stage to get closer to fans, and walked around the venue holding a selca bar. Such an unexpected event made the audience so happy. When the MC announced that he would walk around on the second floor as well as on the first floor, the venue was covered by the cheers of the audience. He really walked all over the venue. To respond his heart, all the audience kept the promises as the MC asked beforehand. No one left from their seat and tried to touch him. That proved their solid bond between JKS and fans (eels).

Usually JKS expresses his ideas from the planning stage actively, and joins the production part of each stage, but this time the detail was not revealed to him in advance. He looked a bit confused to know each mission he had to complete, but he seemed to have fun with fans from the bottom of his heart. When he looked back memories with fans over 5 years and saw message videos by fans, he seemed lost for words because he was very impressed with them.

Besides, there were surprise events that the audience held a message banner for 2 days. The event was full of love to reconfirm their special bond in the past and in the future. It was really suitable to be held on St. Valentine’s Day.

In addition, MV of a lead song ‘Hidamari (sunshine)’ included in his 3rd album released on February 25th was released during the event for the first time. And during the mini concert segment, he sang some songs such as ‘Always close to you’ ‘Save me’ ‘Turn off’ ‘Beautiful Change’ and so on. That made us to look forward upcoming CRI SHOW3 that starts in March from Oksaka.

More photos from Pretty Man, this time from the drama proper as well as its poster shoots. I must say, while the story still seems riddled with question marks, the pictures do look super cute, featuring our lead couple played by Jang Geun-seok and IU. (I don’t understand in what universe she could be considered completely and utterly ordinary-looking, but I suppose it’s fiction for a reason.)
And this is a shallow point, but I know I am not the only one rejoicing at the new haircut for Jang Geun-seok. Huzzah for sharpness and sleekness and change! I don’t actually dislike the long wavy shampoo-commercial tresses on him—it’s just that he’s had the same look for so long that I missed how it was back in the day when he was rocking a new style for every project. (Or week to week, as in the case of You’re Beautiful where he went through hairstyle concepts on a regular basis.)
 
The scene on the bus pictured directly below actually comes from a flashback segment (which explains the hairdo change), when middle schooler Kim Bo-tong (IU) first sees the high schooler oppa and is smitten with adolescent puppy love, kicking off a one-sided crush to span the next decade. Oh, honey. I feel for you, even though I know you’ll get your man at the end of 16 episodes. Hopefully sooner, to make up for all that lost time pining. But first, she’ll have to compete with all the top-tier successful ladies he’ll be romancing before he sees the light and falls for her back. Fingers crossed that the process makes sense and all that. With the director of Flower Boy Next Door and Flower Boy Ramyun Shop onboard, I’m hoping for fun, zippy things to come.
