Team H (Jang Keun Suk and Big Brother) appeared at UMFKorea as a special guest. Their DJing act was much shorter than we expected, but now we understand why they were introduced as a special guest. UMFKorea invited a lot of famous foreign DJs, but it was held in Korea so that they invited Team H as a special guest. It’s true that Team H hasn’t been well-known yet in Korea as a DJ team, so they just gave the audience one act. But we’re sure their performance impressed them!

Jang Geun Suk celebrates his birthday at the beach

Actor Jang Geun Suk recently wished himself a happy birthday while enjoying his vacation at the beach.


Earlier on the 4th he posted on his twitter, “My phone kept ringing off the hook so I thought something happened in Korea but it was just my birthday… Still have an hour left here“. He then followed up with another tweet stating, “It’s Asia’s Prince’s Birthday! Sound the trumpets!”


Along with the tweets, he posted a few photos of himself celebrating his birthday throughout the day. The first photo showed the actor enjoying himself on the beach, while the second one capture the moment before he blew out the candles.


Netizens reponded to the birthday boy’s photos saying, “He looks like he’s taking full advantage of his birthday vacation“, “Happy birthday Asia’s prince!“, “He looks so happy“,”It’s a birthday fit for a prince“, and more.


In related news, Jang Geun Suk successfully finished up his ‘2012 Jang Geun Suk Asia Tour THE CRI SHOW 2‘ in Seoul and Yokohama, Japan and is preparing for his upcoming concert dates to take place in Shanghai and Taiwan.

Jang Keun Suk’s Fans United to Serve as Volunteers

Recently, Actor Jang Keun Suk started his Asia Cri Show tour, his fans have planned a very meaningful event, the members of Jang Keun Suk’s Fan Café with group name “Jang Keun Suk Cares” visited Noah’s House.


Noah’s House is a home for 60 children with severe disabilities, aged from 3 to 18. This is also the place that sometimes Jang Keun Suk and his parents had come to serve as volunteers.


The person from Fan Café said, “For a few months, the members have collected toys, books and supplies for them. At the meantime, that Jang Keun Suk is well known for doing volunteer works here, so the members from Fan Café are very happy to join the mission to collecting donations and supplies for them.”
The members from Fan Café have decided to do the service on the day when they come to visit. They said: “When we bring the donations and supplies for the kids, we will also eat with them, walk with them and clean the facilities.” They also revealed the detail plan for the service, like they will bring small gifts which has Jang Keun Suk’s name on it, the service date will be September 05, two weeks before Jang Keun Suk’s birthday (September 19).
(Note: This year his Lunar Calendar birthday Aug 04 will fall on Solar Canlendar, September 19).


Explanation of Jang Keun Suk’s birth date: Jang Keun Suk was born on September 26 in 1987 (Solar Calendar), in Korea traditionally they use Lunar Calendar too, so his birth date on Lunar Calendar was Aug 04 1987. So as tradition in Korea they also mark his birthday on Lunar Calendar too.


About this event, people from Fan Café said: We would like to make this event as an opportunity that Hallyu Star Asia Prince Jang Keun Suk to give back to society for all the love he received. This event would be also one of the service events for his 20 years anniversary of his debut. The Café people confirmed. Fan Café wants their charity activities and donations as the evolvement from the love of the star to bring the light to the needy.


Their volunteer work is secretly planned to remember Jang Keun Suk’s good deed. Also more fans want join the event to show their support to the star. Besides this event. The group, “Jang Keun Suk Cares” have served volunteer work to the rehab of fire burnt babies with severe disabilities in Bushan Jieog for a few years.


In Addition, Jang Keun Suk official fan club Cri J also held “926 Event” (donation with 926 won, as value of 0.80 USD). The event started on July 07 his first 2012 Cri Show till the day before his birthday. At his Cri Show 2 in Seoul, fans has set the donation box, money (with 1000 won value) have been flooding to the box.

[7/28/2012] EELS PHILIPPINES GATHERING FOR A CAUSE AND JKS BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION

Eels Philippines is a group bonded by our love and support to Asia Prince Jang Keun Suk. Inspired by his generous heart, our group organized a project to help children who needs proper care and affection. Our first chosen project is Hospicio de San Jose, a Catholic welfare institution in the Philippines. It is also the first social welfare agency and has been a home to orphans, abandoned and special children. To date, the orphanage supports 88 children.  

Eels Philippines Gathering for a Cause aims to provide these children food, materials and fun activities to show our love and let them feel that someone cares for them, allow them to experience quality of life and to renew their hope. As Jang Keun Suk once said “The intent of helping others is to return as much as I receive” EELs Philippines salutes and believe in his way of giving back everything that God has provided for us.

Assembly and distribution of shirts for the members and preparation for the program. 

The program started at 10:00AM, a prayer led by ita Catherine Ione Isaac and a welcome message from our very own Jennifer Artartes the founder of EELS Philippines.

  

Kids having fun with games and prizes get a little more inter-active. We joined them laugh and cheer each other on. I was deeply touched by the innocence of the kids living over there. They seemed to be so happy and full of life despite so very few materialistic pleasures.

Jollibee (mascot) made a special appearance. 

EELS also participate in games and performed a dance number with Jollibee.

We offered biscuits and medicines to the orphanage. Loot bags, balloons and gifts were also given to the kids. The children enjoyed playing with their puzzles and gifts.

The children performed a song number that touches our hearts. What we saw there moved our souls. Everyone had a great time and we were all very sad when it was time to say goodbye. We spent time and play with them to show how much we love them and how special they were.  It was relatively a short visit for us but a memorable one.

The program at the orphanage ended at 12NN. EELS then went off to our second venue at Casa Bocobo to celebrate Prince Jang Keun Suk’s 25th Birthday.

EELs Philippines 1st Gathering and JSK Birthday Celebration is a meet and greet event for all Filipina Eels. This is our way of showing our undying love, utmost support and dedication to one and only Prince Jang Keun Suk. Though JKS will not be present in this event, his presence in our hearts is enough to make this event fun, memorable and successful. To date EELS Philippines has 475 official members (and growing).

Our second location: Casa Bocobo Hotel

Registration and name tag distribution. There were many eels familiar faces, and new faces – they are very nice and friendly. I also finally met eels that I often talk to on facebook and twitter.

Everyone was busy taking pictures. We decorated the walls with JKS posters, banners and stars. We blew balloons and scattered them all over.

The program started at 1:30 PM.  Jenill Pajarillaga and I (Jane Maranan) hosted the party. An opening prayer again was led by Vita. Lunch has been served and everyone enjoyed chatting and mingling with their new found eel friends. We were so excited as if we knew each other for so long. We bond together as a family. 

While having lunch we watched YAB BTS. Every time HTK was flashed on the screen the whole room was filled with screams and laughter. (Staffs of Casa Bocobo rushed to see what’s causing the chaos LOL!) 

After having our scrumptious lunch. Jennifer gave her opening and welcome message, followed by a special announcement by Ms. Agnes of Behind the Scene International Productions Incorporated.  

We had so much fun during games and raffle draws.  There were so many exciting prizes, that even the losing team for each game received gifts for participating. We gave out lots of posters, DVD’s, Magazine and original goods from WPS.  It was a great fun. All were glad and seemed to enjoy.

Finally, the highlight of the event, we had the cutting of JKS cake amidst a lot of screaming and picture takings and also a toast to officially celebrate JKS 25th birthday. We proudly blew out the candles and made a wish for our Prince.
